A gentle class for those who are new to yoga or those who would like to explore the connection between the breath and postures. This class moves at a manageable pace, so you can progress safely in your practice. Students will be introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration. Emphasis is placed on student understanding, safety, and stability within each pose. Attention is placed upon how you are feeling and what you are perceiving.
Take-A-Seat Chair Yoga w/Weights
Kind Karma Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done while sitting. Some poses can also be done standing using a chair for support. Chair yoga can improve your flexibility, concentration and strength, while boosting your mood, and reducing stress and joint strain. Chair Yoga offers a myriad of benefits including increased flexibility and joint mobility, weight loss, and an improved mental state and moods. Hand weights are used in this class. This class is open to everyone.
Our Power Yoga Class is a challenging, flowing sequence of poses that wakes up your body, increases your heart rate and makes you sweat! Wake up your body through poses that link breath and movement, strengthen and lengthen your muscles and spine, and strengthen your core. Challenging, but doable. Have FUN in this powerful practice. Expect to be transformed! Modifications are included.
Yin Yang Fusion Yoga Flow
This class combines the best of Vinyasa (Hatha Yoga) and Yin Yoga. This class includes a refreshing yoga flow that emphasizes synchronizing your breath and movement with the transition into a quiet, meditative, floor-based practice – where you will find more mobility and flexibility in your joints and connective tissue. This practice is perfect for anyone who wants to bring more freedom, flexibility and mobility to their hips, pelvis, hamstrings and spine. This practice also includes gentle releases for the neck and back.
Awaken with Meditation &
This class combines meditation, breathing exercises, gentle yoga stretches and the healing applications of sound therapy. This meditation class is intended to activate your rest-and-digest system and usher your body back to a more natural, calm state. You will learn practical methods to deal with daily stressors and everyday challenges. With the combined applications of sound therapy, you will feel more relaxed, peaceful and focused. Sound therapy has been known to treat such conditions as stress, anxiety, high blood pressure, depression, sleep disorders and physical pain.
This class offers a challenge through the flow between postures, while building heat, endurance, flexibility and strength. Vinyasa (“flowing with breath”) is a dynamic style of yoga combining yoga poses with inhales and exhales, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. Our flow classes use creative sequences involving sun salutations, standing and seated postures, back bending, arm balancing, and a strong focus on the power of breath awareness. You will surely enjoy this fun challenging class.
This class helps to undo all the tension, stress and stiffness of the day. Stretching helps to complement a grueling workout program, tight muscles, stiff joints or a sedentary, screen oriented lifestyle. Keeping flexible, mobile, supple and lengthened, are drug-free secrets to a pain-free, anti-aging and high energy way of living. This class will incorporate breath work and meditation, promote good posture, and include yoga. This class is beginner-friendly and is designed to accommodate all experience levels
Lunchtime yoga is a great way to “kick start” your mind to focus on the future afternoon tasks at hand. This is an all-levels, mid-day Vinyasa flow class. Come for some yoga, breathing and meditation. Lunchtime yoga is a great way to wipe the slate clean — forget the annoyances or setbacks that may have happened this morning, and get you ready to tackle your busy schedule with ease, calm and clarity.
This class is a blend of Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, lower spine and legs. One big difference noticed by students of Yin Yoga is the long-held, passive nature of the postures, which gives time for a deeper journey to unfold and explore the meditative aspects of yoga. Restorative yoga has numerous therapeutic applications and is a form of relaxation and restoration. Props are used to increase comfort, nourish the nervous system and deepen relaxation.
Kind Karma Kids Yoga: Ages 6-9
Our classes feature active yoga with great music, yoga games and crafts, mindful moments, and plenty of laughs and smiles! We will challenge your child's imagination while developing strength, flexibility, coordination and balance. Little yogis will love the more playful yoga practice, while older children will benefit from fun, more challenging yoga sequences and mindful relaxation techniques. Studies have concluded yoga has been proven to reduce anxiety and stress resulting from peer pressure, school and home situational stressors. We incorporate Sound Therapy in all our classes.
Kind Karma® Slow Flow Yoga
This class includes gentle postures, breathing exercises, relaxation, and Kind Karma Yoga® Flows to increase mobility and flexibility. This class also includes some functional strengthening postures and core activation, and will flow slowly through the postures. Meditation and breathing techniques are taught to promote relaxation. Class concludes with restorative yoga postures. This class is for those who may have certain injuries, or for students who simply prefer to move at a slower pace.
Detox Yoga restores the mind, body, and spirit. Invigorate your practice with this strong, challenging flow that focuses on twists and forward bends for detoxification. Twists are associated with toning and rejuvenating, and forward folding brings core awareness. Incorporating twists, mild inversions, and circular motions are said to stimulate the digestive, immune and lymph systems. Expect to increase blood flow, get your heart pumping. Leave feeling refreshed and energized!
Cardio Yoga with Weights
Our signature cardio strength class builds muscle to make your yoga practice effortless. Warm-up exercises and dynamic movements begin this class followed by calorie burning cardio sequences. This class uses bodyweight exercises, resistance bands, pilates rings and various weights. Yoga poses are either taught alone or combined with weights and cardio exercises. Restorative yoga and meditation concludes the class.
Kind Karma Yoga & Awaken with Meditation
This gentle yoga flow class is focused on body and breath awareness, and how each yoga pose or yoga sequence affects your mind, senses and thoughts. Accessible to all levels, including beginners, this class is a combination of gentle and dynamic yoga flow coupled with longer holds to help find alignment in our bodies and within ourselves. We begin and end each class with the pleasant sounds of healing instruments followed by Kind Karma “Awaken with Meditation” techniques.
Awaken Qigong Classes
Awaken Qigong stimulates and directs the flow Chi of the body and organs by stretching or compressing the meridians (energy channels). Each Awaken Qigong sequence includes breath work, mental focus and mudras, as well as the inner work of sound, color and visualization at the consciousness level. The synthesis of Awaken Qigong's unique movements, breath work, visualization, and sound "wakes up" the Chi within the body to heal the physical, mental, emotional, energetic, and spiritual bodies. As we develop our own external and internal energy, we inherently form a powerful link to the greater parts of ourselves.
